Peter Pan

To start off, here's some things I've found out.
A) I don't have the patience to sit and read like I used to.
2. I waste a lot of my day.
C - I'm kind of bad at writing blogs.

But these things will NOT stop me from completing this mission of mine.

Okay, to tell you the truth, I haven't finished Peter Pan yet. I have like ten chapters to go and less than a hundred pages to read but I always find myself doing other things. Like... I found this awesome LJ community with lots of pretty pictures and I've made it my duty to look through their archives and find all the pretty pictures. Yeah, they've also been around for a couple years...

But with what I've read of Peter Pan so far, I know that I like it. Let's make a list!

Things I Like In Peter Pan --
1. The first two chapters are more about Mr. and Mrs. Darling!
2. Nurse really is a dog!!! C:
3. There are bad things about flying too.
4. I should probably have the book in front of me when I do blogs...
5. Tinker Bell is ten thousand times better in the book because she's such a bitch. I don't even like Tinker Bell and all her mania, online games and TV shows/movies.

But what I like this most is how much Wendy is willing to be a mother. She wants to do the dishes, make meals, put the boys to bed, do laundry, and tell them stories. This makes me feel two things. 1. I'm excited to become a mother someday. (note: SOMEDAY. not now.) 2. I'm terrified to become a mother someday, especially to all boys.

Let me elaborate. There's this... "curse" in my family. My grandmother and my step-cousin (basically the only two people on my dad's side that had more than one child) have been "cursed" with bearing three boys. My grandmother had my two uncles and my father. My cousin had two boys with her first marriage and now a third boy with her new fiance/soon to be hubby. I am absolutely terrified that I will not have a daughter... ever. This legitimately worries me because my boyfriend really really wants a baby girl. I've warned him though. I hope he remembers. (ADD mind!)

Ahhh, anyways. I may as well post this because I can't think of what else to say. So I'll uhh... wrap it up. More to come soon! I will try finishing the book soon. (Totally not in the time limit I expected if you didn't notice.)

Ta ta till then!

  1. You make me smile Amanda :)
Kudos to you for not giving up. I was a little worried since you weren't hitting your deadlines.

Having 3 boys isn't that bad. My brother does it and they're so much fun. However, I do agree that girls are lots of fun too :)
